The pioneering German aircraft manufacturer of electric vertical aircrafts (eVTOL), Lilium, was about to launch their groundbreaking electric jet, but as all resources had gone into designing and building the aircraft, the topic of aftermarket services had been brushed aside.

There was an ambition to extend the innovative and premium customer experience from the aircraft to a digital, mobile interface for aftermarket services - a customer portal. However, no processes, systems or tools had yet been identified, purchased nor implemented.

Based on the strategy work, DigitalThinking developed a prototype of a customer portal to be used on iPad and mobile.

So far, the project has resulted in a clear digital vision and digital ecosystem outline to be used as a guiding star for future digital services in Lilium’s commercial and services unit. The vision has been visualized in the digital prototype (iPad application) which has received exceptional feedback from customers and suppliers.
